Tickets went on sale Saturday, March 29th for the June Production at WWU.
If you do not know which night your student performs please call Debby at
the Dance Studio office at 360 734 1595.
Then go online at: http://www.tickets.wwu.edu (Click on Upcoming Events; Click on June 2008) to purchase tickets online or you can call 360 650 6146 to purchase tickets over the phone. The box office hours are Monday - Saturday 9:00 - 5:00.

A special thanks to JAKE for the warming device you brought for the early birds on Sat am .
We had 120 people show up before the ticket office opened at 8:00. Thanks also to
the parents who waited in the cold with intermittent snow and rain showers.
Wendy and Debby showed up at 6:00 a.m. to pass out numbers so the parents could
return by 8:00 a.m. We love our parents!

A Brand New Day opening number practices start in April. Practices will be posted in the studio in March. Patrick is organizing the practices and the other teachers and students involved in the dance is as follows:
1.) Megan will be teaching Jazz
2.) Gina will be teaching Tap
3.) Patrick will be teaching HH
4.) Heather will be teaching Ballet
This will be a very explosive high energy dance and a great performance by our amazing students at The Dance Studio.

FREE FREE FREE NEW! Raelynn is teaching a 1 hour technique class for Beginning - Advanced Pointe students. This is a free class for any pointe students starting Jan 2008 at 1:00 every Saturday (except our vacation days). Please call our studio if you have any questions. Requirements for this class is to be enrolled in a ballet/pointe class during the 2008 year at any studio. Bring your pointe shoes to class, sign a registration form by a parent if you are not from our studio and be ready to LEARN! Thank you Raelynn!

Recital Rehearsals (WWU):
Thursday, June 19 from 3:30 until 8pm for 6/20
Saturday, June 21st from 11:00 until 12:00pm for 6/21
Saturday, June 21st from 12:00 until 2:00pm for 6/22

Dress rehearsal information: Remember you are allowed to use your video and camera's at this time. Please do not take pictures or video during the performances. If you have many costume changes you use rooms downstairs below the stage or quick changes on the stage. Wendy runs the rehearsal in order of the program and that will be posted in our studio in April. Please have performers sit with their group in the theatre until they are called on stage. Wendy will excuse your group from the stge and you can leave the theatre at that time.

Port Festival: Saturday, December 8, 2007 5:00pm
THANKS TO RAELYNN FOR CHOREOGRAPHING WALTZ OF THE FLOWERS AND TO THE 18 STUDENTS WHO DID AN AMAZING JOB DANCING. RAELYNN ALSO STEPPED IN TO DANCE FOR ONE OF HER STUDENTS AT THE LAST MINUTE. IT WAS A JOY TO WATCH! THIS WAS A PREVIEW OF THE TALENT YOU WILL BE SEEING IN DECEMBER OF 2008 WHEN THE DANCE STUDIO PERFORMS THE NUTCRACKER. ALSO, THANKS TO OUR OTHER STUDENTS WHO PERFORMED IN LYRICAL, HIP HOP AND BALLET. THIS WAS A GREAT SHOW.

8th Annual Mt Baker Film Festival: Mt Baker Theatre, October 25th, 7:30. Patricks Hip Hop students from The Dance Studio (Saturday 12:00 class only) were asked to perform again during their intermission. A high energy, sold out show every year. The show was fantastic and kudos to Patrick and his group of dancers. This was a fund raiser for United We Dance.

Hollywood Dance Experience: Wendy Setter attended Michael McBain's Dance Convention at the Sea Tac Marriott on October 13 & 14th, with students from The Dance Studio. It was so good we will be attending this convention again next year. Michael McBain is a master tap teacher/choreographer to over 150,000 students in the USA.

What A Show, Bellingham High School: Friday, October 26th 7:30pm. Students from The Dance Studio performed and were incredible! Thanks Emma Delaney, April Hoag, Jessie Mays and Michelle Thomas for sharing your love of dance! Also, Funk Band, Reyna Munn's Acapella Trio and a piano solo by Taylor Boren were outstanding. So glad I went!

Dance Workshop: Co.dance, March 15th, 2008 weekend, Tacoma Sheraton Hotel 1320 Broadway Plaza Tacoma 253 572 3200. Ask for the Special Group Rate for Co.Dance. Please do this ASAP as they only have a block of rooms for the special rate! Get your hotel room now and we will send in the workshop payments the end of January. The workshop prices will be posted in the hallway at the studio. As of 1/18/08 we have 40 students signed up! We are going to have a great time!
